Description
Ficus robusta (Rubber Plant) — 19 cm pot
Long Description / Care Instructions
Light:
Rubber plants thrive in bright, indirect light, but can tolerate moderate light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering:
Water thoroughly when the top 2–3 cm of soil is dry, reducing frequency in winter. Avoid letting the plant sit in water, as this can lead to root rot.
Soil & Potting:
Use a well-draining potting mix (peat or composted bark with perlite or sand). Rubber plants like to be slightly root-bound, so repot only when necessary.
Temperature & Humidity:
Ideal range: 18–24 °C. Avoid drafts and sudden temperature changes. Prefers moderate humidity; misting occasionally or using a humidity tray helps in dry homes.
Fertilization:
Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Do not fertilize in winter.
