Description
Aglaonema “Silver Bay” — 14cm Pot
Light:
Silver Bay thrives in medium to bright indirect light but is also well-known for tolerating low-light areas. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so keep it away from harsh windows.
Watering:
Water when the top 2–5 cm of soil is dry. Do a deep water and allow excess to drain out completely.
-
Avoid letting the plant sit in water — this can cause yellowing and root rot.
-
In winter, reduce watering frequency as the soil dries slower.
Soil:
Use a well-draining indoor mix. A blend with perlite, bark, or coarse sand helps keep the roots aerated and prevents sogginess.
Humidity & Temperature:
This plant enjoys moderate humidity but adapts well to normal household conditions.
Ideal temperature range: 18–27°C.
Avoid cold drafts or placing the plant near open windows during winter.
Fertiliser:
Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser (half strength). Reduce feeding in winter when growth slows.
