Description
Monstera deliciosa, often called the Swiss Cheese Plant, is one of the most iconic tropical indoor plants, known for its large, glossy green leaves that naturally develop dramatic splits and holes as the plant matures. In a 35cm pot, this Monstera is already a substantial, established plant, offering instant presence and height in any interior space.
This plant thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate medium-light conditions. Too much direct sun can scorch the leaves, while too little light may slow its growth and reduce leaf fenestration. Indoors, place it near a bright window with filtered light.
Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry, keeping it lightly moist but never waterlogged. A well-draining mix is essential to prevent root rot. Monsteras appreciate humidity and warm temperatures and should be protected from cold drafts.
Feed every 2–3 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced indoor plant fertiliser to support strong, lush new growth. Wipe the leaves occasionally to keep them clean and help the plant absorb more light.
With the right care, Monstera deliciosa grows quickly and becomes a striking architectural feature, adding height, volume, and a lush tropical feel to any home or office.
Ideal for interior décor, collectors, and anyone wanting a hardy but impressive statement plant.
